Callaway Introduces Forged Players Iron With The New Apex Black

Article by Golf News Now

The new Apex Black Irons from Callaway are precision engineered with 360 Face Cup technology for consistent ball speed across the face and playability in a forged players iron.

A sleek all-black look with a Satin Black PVD finish and premium shaft options, with a vast no upcharge list, customizes the set.

The progressive design creates scoring performance from long irons to short irons.

The high tech, multi‐piece construction is used to provide a combination of distance, feel and soft feel comes from quadruple net forging and mild carbon steel.

When you combine all of these advanced technologies with the all black finish, you have a forged iron for all golfers with an unforgettable look.

The progressive offset, sole widths, CG height and notch weighting contribute to balance of ball flight, playability, forgiveness and control for each iron.

The longer irons feature more offset where you need it for more forgiveness, while the shorter irons have a more compact shape with less offset for feel and control.
The longer irons (three through seven) utilize the Cup 360 to increase ball speeds and forgiveness across the face. In the shorter irons, Callaway included an engineered face plate to enhance feel and distance control.
