That was a fantastic display of golf by Rory yesterday. He was shooting darts all day and putting lights out, with the ultimate 340 yard drive on a damp fairway, par 5 – 17th hole, followed by a 7 iron to 2.5 ft for eagle. a 59 was possible but not to be had for Rory. That was fantastic to watch. He definitely was appreciative of the course, the fans and the Raptors for making it a fantastic week for all involved, including Rory.
Other good news was McDowell qualified for the British Open in Ireland. On a would have, could have been note, Hadwin could never get the flat stick going on Sunday. He finished 6th and the drought continues for Canada at our Open.
Now go Raptors!

Its a tight leader board heading into day 4 at the reborn Canadian Open at Hamilton Golf Club in Ancaster, ON just east of Toronto with lots of known competitors up there. At or near the top of the crowded leaderboard are favourites like Rory, Kucher, Snedecker and of course “The Canadians” (and Raptor fans) Hadwin and Hughes. We should not count out Nick Taylor, McDowell, Furyk and Stenson who are also within range, on what should be a perfect day to go low weather wise.
May the best man win! It will be a fun ride on Sunday as a warm up to the historic Raptors game on Monday.
Would it not be totally amazing, if one of the Canadians could finally win this thing on the eve of the Raptors break through, as well! My heart just sped up writing this. Go Team Canada!
